Overview

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is an entry level qualification providing a straightforward introduction to wine. It is ideal for boosting the confidence of new or inexperienced front line staff in the hospitality and retail sectors. It is also a great course for those wanting to know the main grape varieties and food and wine matching.

Course Outline
- Introduction to the main styles of wines
- The main characteristics of the principle grape varieties used
- Tasting technique based on the Level 1 WSET® Systematic Approach to Tasting
- Storage procedure and service of wines
- Food and wine matching principles

Total Course Duration: 7.5 hours (3 sessions, including exam)

Courses to be conducted either in Cantonese or English

Successful candidates receive the WSET Level 1 Certificate.
